Colonial feel with black and white floor tiles, wood chairs with red upholstery, subdued lighting and white louvred floor to ceiling doors, which fold back and lead onto terrace. Outdoor tiled elevated Creole terrace has palm trees providing shade and looks directly down onto the beach. Wrought iron balustrade separates terrace from beach.
Mainly fish and seafood in traditional Mauritian and French style – limited meat options. There are choices of set menus or a la carte, with an amuse bouche served beforehand. For appetizers we recommend tuna with melon and ginger, heart of palm braised with truffles and crab millefeuille. Main courses we enjoy are lobster in ginger and sake sauce and berry fish with a spice crumb. Our non fish eater recommends carnivores try the tasty lamb with orange and vanilla. If you can manage dessert after the large main courses, crème brulee, roast pineapple or chocolate delight with fresh ginger are good.
