Bodrum Blue

Beach Bar

Turkish Cuisine

An over-water restaurant with views of the northern islands and a gentle salty breeze to cool off in the summer? That’s our kind of place. Open for rosé or raki-fuelled lunches and festive dinners (and the occasional brunch!), Bodrum Blue serves typical Turkish dishes made using fresh-from-the-sea seafood, the most delicious produce and carefully-sourced meats. And just wait until you bite into a slice of baklava. With Turkey being a pioneer of gastronomy with a rich food culture, it’s no surprise that Bodrum Blue is a favourite.

Mezze, pide, grilled octopus, raki, nutty baklava… Savour a Turkish feast inspired by vibrant Istanbul and idyllic Bodrum right on the water.

Chef Bilal Tasdemir: I’m a Turkish chef with over 15 years of experience. My career has taken me to Kazakhstan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and, finally, Mauritius. Food is a universal language that builds bridges and connects people. I love experimenting in the kitchen, but my specialty is traditional Turkish cuisine.

Location: Grand Gaube

Grand Gaube, a fishing village located about 10 km northeast of Grand Baie on the northeast coast of Mauritius, is famous for its bays and rocks emerging from the water’s surface.

Beyond the beauty of its beaches, Grand Gaube seduces with its irresistible charm. The village reflects a rich colonial ambiance, evoking a bygone era. The streets are lined with colorful traditional houses, and local craft shops contribute to its unique character.
